After obtaining the master's degree in Conservation and Restoration ofJapanesepaintings from Tokyo University of the Arts, Suzuki Hiroo
has been working in the Japanse style paintings using traditional techniques. We will showcase his works,also the Ukiyo-e and paintings from the collection of the gallery. We look forward to see you at the Toobi Art Fair.

The perspective of the artist
There were a number of humorous art
works in the history of Japanese art. It definitely has a great influence on
today’s Manga and animation. However, much less attention has been paid to these Japanese paintings as far as I am concerned. My works reflect the playful aspect repecting
the conventional materials and techniques, yet the idea is rather in the perspective of our time. I hope that by reconsidering the essence of the matter could enrich our mind.
